Cold reboot (remove the power cable) the switch.

If still does not work, boot into ROMMON and export the config off the switch.

Copy the firmware into a USB flash drive and then use the command below to completely re-flash the flash:

emergency-install usbflash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.10a.SPA.bin

I've already done that it does not work it does the same thing installing from USB / TFTP

Even tried

cat3k_caa-universalk9ldpe.16.12.01.SPA.bin

 which does the same thing.

As I said rolling it back to

Everest-16.6.X all is good

   - Check ROMMON version and or  you  may need to upgrade it ,

@peter.alliett1

I would probably open a TAC case at this point, everything looks right from my point of view.

Seems to be a hardware issue now as no matter what image I load

Can't open TAC case this device has no contact on it

The I2C chip is failing.

There is nothing else to do but to RMA the switch.
