Hi,
I use solar winds and netflow to sniff traffic from cisco routers and switches, we have added new 3560 v2 switches, from the doucmentation netflow is now listed as "unsupported", i want to know if there is a work around or alternative to netflow.
thanks

Configure SPAN and the destination port have a network analyzer attached.

Hello,
you can use several methods.
1. SPAN port
2. Probe
The probe can be attached to a span port or you can use optical TAP (splitter). There exists several types of probes.
I have information about FlowMon probes. FlowMon probe reads all packets and make a netflow
from them. You can send made netflow to your favorite netflow analyzer. You can read more information about FlowMon
on the following URL: http://www.caligare.com/product/flowmon/
There is no any other workaround (i.e. some 3560 hidden commands). 3560 has HW power bottleneck
(3560 CPU is too slow for netflow, and netflow is not build in the HW).
Please, rate if you were satisfied.
