I have recently loaded a new IOS image to flash: via TFTP.  I deleted the old one and then modified the boot parameter.  I beleive I missed something because when I reloaded, I boot into helper mode and I have the following prompt.

switch:

If I show my dir of flash: I see the image(bin file) I want to boot from but it will not allow me to boot.

Any suggestions

Hi James,

What error you are getting when you are trying to boot up ?

You might not have copied IOS properly if it is not able to boot...Even if boot parameter is not set properly,it will boot if proper ios is in the flash.

You might have to do XMODEM,if there is no proper ios in the flash.

Check this link which explains the process of xmodem if you need so--

when I boot from scracth..this is what I get .  I beleive I missed a boot variable if you look at the last line.  Can I fix this from here?

The system is unable to boot automatically.  The BOOT
environment variable needs to be set to a bootable
image.

Hi,

This shows that this image is not bootable...If the image is bootable, boot parameter doesn't matter...After checking the boot parameter, switch looks if there is any bootable image in the flash.

You have to delete this corrputed image, and load fresh image using xmodem.

i see you have 2 images in the flash. You can try booting with earlier image.

Just write:

boot flash:c3750-ipservices-mz.122-25.SEB1/c3750-ipservices-mz.122-25.SEB1.bin

and press enter.

If you want to see your boot parameter, write:

set

and the press enter.

You can also change your boot parameter by "set boot flash:"

Let me know if you face any problem. The image with which you are trying to load is not bootable.

Hi,

Your c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-40.SE.bin file size is far too small to be a correct bootable image. But also if you look at the

Initializing Flash... sequence you can see that out of your 16MB flash size you have used 1604096 Bytes only. The numer is so small that it is unlikely even your c3750-ipservices-mz.122-25.SEB1 directory keeps any bootable image. In my view copying the new image to flash via xmodem is your only option to progress.

Best regards,

Antonin
