Hi,
I have a customer that is doing Etherchannel load balancing on their Etherchannel links. The method is src-dst-ip.
However, even though the links are all up and traffic is flowing over the various links the number of bits assigned to each link and
the load is 0. I am pasting part of the show output here but I see it on their other Etherchannel links as well. Other links have four ports in the bundle and the same thing is shown.
Any ideas?
Ports in the Port-channel:
Index Load Port EC state No of bits
------+------+------+------------------+-----------
0 00 Gi1/0/3 Active 0
0 00 Gi2/0/3 Active 0
sh etherchannel load-balance
EtherChannel Load-Balancing Configuration:
src-dst-ip
EtherChannel Load-Balancing Addresses Used Per-Protocol:
Non-IP: Source XOR Destination MAC address
IPv4: Source XOR Destination IP address
IPv6: Source XOR Destination IP address
Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
Try looking at the actual interfaces and see if the counters are increasing?
sh int g1/0/3
sh int g2/0/3

Hi Reza,
Traffic is flowing over the links as I noted above. This is more of a question as to why the Etherchannel load balancing output shows no assignment of bits toward load balancing.
Thanks,
Jim
