3750 Stack Member vs Slave - No Stack Light

Hello.

I have connected 2 3750's togeather to make a stack, it shows one as master and the other as Member, is that the same as Master and Slave? or is Member somethiing different?

Also the stack light does not show on? any ideas on this?

Hi there,

Slave/ member denote exactly the same stack membership status.

The stack LED is only lit once you press the MODE button a 'few' times. Once it is lit solid green you will then notice the switchport LEDs (1-9) light up. The flashing number will denote the stack number of the switch.

thats correct - if you also check the stack port and ring speed it should denote that the stacking is fine and you either have a half -full stack ring 

sh switch stack-ports

sh switch stack ring speed
