3750 stack provisioning

I can successfully provision a switch offline by configuring the priority and switch number. I can also add the switch to the stack without any hassles. However, I'd like to know if it's possible to provision the switch offline, configure port settings offline, and then when I add the new switch to the stack have the port settings I configured stay in place?

Right now, only the provisioned configuration stays in place even when I add a switch that doesn't have a version-mismatch requiring an auto-update. I'd love to be able to configure the ports(duplex, speed, desc, etc) and have the config stick.

Possible?

Thanks in advance.

If you add a provisioned switch to a switch stack the switch stack will apply its current provisioned configuration or the default configuration depending on any type of incompatibilities.
