I'm able to upgrade the master of a 3750 stack, but the member fails to upgrade.
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
*1 Master e4d3.f1d5.2280 15 3 Ready
2 Member e4d3.f1eb.bd80 14 3 Version Mismatch
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
* 1 30 WS-C3750X-24 15.0(2)SE2 C3750E-IPBASEK9-M
2 0 WS-C3750X-24 12.2(55)SE5 C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
I turned off "boot auto-copy-sw" and did manual upgrade
copy tftp flash2:
boot system switch 2 flash:\c3750e-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SE2.bin
wr mem
reload slot 2
and
archive copy-sw /destination-system 2 1
there's no effect. The log has the following line
%IMAGEMGR-6-AUTO_ADVISE_SW: Unable to delete temp dir "flash:update"
I couldn't do rmdir flash:update unless I reload chassis... but even after reloading still cannot make the 2nd member to load with the newer IOS. Any ideas?

I couldn't do rmdir flash:update
Yes you can.
Command: delete /f /r flash:update

I'm only able to delete flash:update after reloading master. Still I'm not able to load the other member with latest IOS eventhough it's sitting in flash: flash1: flash2:

Don't toy with the Master.
Console into the Slave so you can upgrade the IOS to the same level as the Master.
