Does that denote an issue with power-supply on the switch? Could power supply failure make a switch stack noisy?

Hey

Power supply failure shouldn't cause the noise but a fan on the way out will

Once they start to fail they get louder and louder in switches until they just stop , there easily replaced on a 3750 but I would wait till its gone unless its loud enough to cause issues for users nearby

And Unfortunatly there is no other actual command to confirm which will fail but if you get close enough to each switch you should be able to tell which switch the noise is coming from

Output confirms that I have a power-supply failure, right? Do I need to replace it or just a power-cycle/reboot will solve it?

Yes showing 1 down ,If there hot swappable just try reseat the one that's down currently but if its dead it wont be the one making the noise , sometimes reseating it can fix the issue if its software related , if it does not come back you will need to replace it
