I'm having an issue with a 3750X switch that does not complete any TDR test it always shows "not completed"
c3750#sh clock
*23:16:11.812 GMT Sun Feb 28 1993
c3750#test cable-diagnostics tdr interface gi1/0/4
% TDR test is in progress, please try later.
c3750#sh cable-diagnostics tdr interface gi1/0/4
TDR test last run on: February 28 23:16:03
Interface Speed Local pair Pair length Remote pair Pair status
--------- ----- ---------- ------------------ ----------- --------------------
Gi1/0/4 auto Pair A N/A N/A Not Completed
Pair B N/A N/A Not Completed
Pair C N/A N/A Not Completed
Pair D N/A N/A Not Completed
repeating the show changes the speed from "auto" to "100M" in this particular port or any other that's training at 100M, with active gigabit ports it shows the correct results.
Here's a bugreport of the issue that got closed with no resolution YEARS ago: https://bst.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtl71772
running 15.2(4)E10 which is the latest suggested by cisco
¿any solution?, it's nigh unusable as it is

Move the cable to a different port.

the issue is not on that port, as i've said, it's in ALL ports that connect at 100m, moving them to any other port makes no difference

Leaving this for anyone else facing the same problem.
This appears to be a bug with the code, documented - CSCtl71772
What worked for me was to set the port speed to 1000 (not auto) and then re run the TDR test.
