Helllo everyone,
I am receiving this error for an Aruba AP connected to Cisco 3850-24P Switch(Aruba AP225 and Aruba AP135 connected). There is no power in AP (working fine before at same port). Syslog flooded by these msgs,
Interface xyz: Power device detected:IEEE PD
Interface xyz: PD Removed
ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER-PORT-ERR:Controller port error, interface xyz : Power controller reports an unknown error
I tried following:
Checked the cable, found no problem in it.
Checked another AP135 at the same port. Same problem started with that AP too
Connected AP 135 at it's previous port but it did not come up. Same error for that port too
Checked Power Inline but status is "not connected"
Checked interface status. Showing "not connected"
All other APs working fine at the same time. But if I reconnect anyone, It goes to same error. And non-POE devices (Laptop) working fine over these ports.
Finally restarted the switch and everything was ok. I am unable to trace the actual problem. Please if somebody could help in this regard.
Thank you

Hi,
This could be a bug in the software that causes the controller dysfunction. I would open a ticket with TAC and send them the logs for analyses. If a software upgrade does not fix it, you may have to replace the hardware.
