Good Afternoon,
I have a 3850 that recently failed to boot after a building power cut. I tried to load the IOS from ROMMON but it continued to fail. I resolved the issue by booting an image from TFTP, then once the switch was back up I loaded a new image. To confirm the issue was resolved I carried out a further reload and it failed again. This time the device fail now fails to load from either TFTP or USB giving the following error message.
switch: boot usbflash0:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.07.E.152-2.E7.bin

Hi
Have you got this switch under support i would open a TAC case this could be hardware fail , TAC can identify the tracebacks in the crash , could need to be replaced
If theres no support have you tried a different softwrae version

Hi
It could be a bug, CSCus17178
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCus17178/?referring_site=bugquickviewredir
As Mark mentioned, you should open a case with the Cisco TAC.

Can you try using the command "emergency-install usbflash0:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.07.E.152-2.E7.bin".
