Hi,

What exactly are the differences between the "Standby" and "Member" switches in a stack with regards to the role they play?

Thanks

The difference is probably documented somewhere, but I suspect a standby is ready to take over for a failed master, while a member is not.  Further, once a master fails, and the standby becomes the new master, likely a member becomes the standby.
