Can someone shed some light on the difference (if any) of stacked 3850s vs 3750s or 2960s? I ask because the cli of stacked 3850s is slightly different than the other two. Active and Standby vs Master and Member. Even with that do the 3850s behave the same way other stacks do? Meaning both are active and all ports can be used simulatenouesly? For instance I can split a portchannel between the two and utilize both links? Or is it truly active/standby and the second switch doesn't do anything unless the first one goes down?
3850s:
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
------------------------------------------------------------
*1 Active 5006.ab5e.6b80 15 V06 Ready
2 Standby 5006.ab5e.8b80 14 V06 Ready
2960s:
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
1 Member 5017.ff40.c500 1 4 Ready
*2 Master 5017.ff40.ef00 5 4 Ready

No difference in terms of how they operate , all ports can be used and yes port-channels can be split across both switches or more depending whats set
there just slightly different as 3750s are IOS but 3850s are IOS-XE , the concept is still the same.
