3850 SW - Interfaces Receiving Multicast errors

Quintin.Mayo

Hi,

We have a 3850 model switch we have five interfaces experiencing multicast errors for some reason.  Four interfaces involved are trunk ports and the fifth is an access port. I upgraded the device IOS to the latest IOS cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.05b. SPA.bin code. This did not mitigate the multicast issue. I checked to see if multicast routing was enabled on the device and found it wasn't. But, there is a policy-map and class-map configured for multicast end station traffic. Three interfaces belong to two different port channels.  how can we determine where the source of the traffic is coming from? I conducted some troubleshooting below without success.  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

first, It's not clear to me what you mean with "Interfaces Receiving Multicast errors"

do you mean this apears in logging on the switch ? -> please post some output
second, you do not post any configuration of the switch, is routing enabled on the switch ?
