4507 R+E temperature warning

We have 4507 R+E switched installed in our network. For the past 6 months, we are observing temperature warning in Module no. 3 in the CPU part.

I want to know why this is happening. We take out the module clean it with a blower and the warning disappears but again appears after a few days.

The room temperature is fine. Please see the attachment.

It is either an IOS bug or your CPU is heating up and the supervisor card may need to be replaced.

Hi Leo,

This problem has happened in at least 15 such switches in our network. Can all the supervisor card be faulty during the same period? All of them are working with same IOS.

The IOS version is-

cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.04.00.SG.151-2.SG.bin

Can all the supervisor card be faulty during the same period? All of them are working with same IOS.

Sounds like a cosmetic bug if it's happening to a lot of your supervisor cards.  This happens to chassis with dual-supervisor cards?

If the answer is yes, then raise a TAC case so that they can identify the bug ID for you.  Another thing, your IOS is 3.4.0 the "0" means it's the first release.  I'd recommend you try other IOS version first and see if this fixes the issue.
