Hi Ali,
As per teh output you have posted everything looks good. I believe gig interface must be showing orange led because nothing is connected to that interface. So try connecting some switch to gig interface on sup in slot 1 and see if the led changes to green.
I am really not sure about yellow led light. Can you confirm the yellow led light is shown for interface or system? I mean where exactly you see yellow light what is wriiten on side of the led light.

Hi Ali,
Your second sup is not recognised by the system and it is in "UNKNOWN STATE" you can see that from "sh mod" command and is the reason the link light is yellow on sup 2.
Now I am not sure if the sup in slot 2 is exact same hardware or not which is there on slot 1. If it is not the exact same hardware then the second sup will go in UNKNOWN STATE.
Other reason of it being in this state is may be it does not have a valid IOS or wrong boot path set because of which it is in rommon state which you need to console and check the status.

If it's not an IOS miss match (they have to be running the same code) then most likey, it's a ROMmon issue.
If the standby module is not operational because it is in ROMmon or other reasons, or it is not present.

Also, look at:

switch#show diagnostic result module 2
There's more, but looks at these first and

Hi Ali,
I am not sure of yellow light. But you mention yellow light is on second sup correct? Your second sup is not recognised by the system so it must be behaving weird.
Coming to the orange light I believe you see the link light as orange correct ? if yes it indicates the link is disabled by user.
Can you try connecting some other switch to the gig interface and see if the link comes up.

Hi Ali,
Nothing major had happened. We just need to sort out things one by one. First console into the second sup and see if you get anything on console?
If not just take out the second sup from the chassis and then check connect some oether switch on gig1/1 and check the status.
Right now I believe nothing is connedted to gig1/1?

Hi Ali,
Once the standby sup comes up fine the console connection for standby sup gets disabled so you will not see any activity and it will remain in the state which you see at teh time of initial boot.
You can console into the active sup and check the status and as you mentioned I believe it must be showing "standby and OK status now", can you confirm this by pasting "sh mod" command.
Also what is the status of led light on stanby sup and what is the status of led light on active sup?

Ankur

I think the port with orrange light is in shutdown state, please go to the interface and do it as "no shut", the light should go off. Do you have something connected on the port on second sup where you are getting a yello light. I think it should be green, if you have a connection on it and its up.

Hi Ali,
Status light Orange means its "System boot or diagnostic test is in progress" which i do not think is your case. The correct status should be green.
Can you confirm if you connect some switch to the gig interface, the gig interface led changes to green. Also does this switch have some configuration and ip address assigned? Can you ping this switch?
Also can you attach the outputs of
show module
show env
show power
Show bootflash:
show boot
show redundancy
show diagnostic result module 1 detail
show diagnostic result module 2 detail

Ankur
