4510 Switch - SPAN port filtering

Working with TAC Support but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas or prev experiences on the following issues that I am experiencing on my 4510.

I am spanning multiple Vlans (source) to a destination port (gig eth) and am generating large amounts of traffic flooding the next hop device.

There are a couple of servers that I know that are high volume traffic offenders and have created and applied an access-list to the monitored session in an attempt to lower the amount of traffic seen by the next hop device.  I've put a sniffer in between and am still seeing the "filtered" traffic on the SPAN port.

In working with tech support we noticied that when creating 2 new vlans with 1 host each in them and the applying the monitored session and an approp acl the traffic is being filtered.  Of course, due to testing,  there is only 1 host on each vlan.

Does anyone have any similar experiences with something similar.  Running IOS 12.25EWA14
