6500 VSS Failover - Remote Chassis

Guys,

I have two 6500 with VS-S720-10G running VSS with two VSL connections. One is on the supervisor (module 5) and the second is on a line card (module 4 - WS-X6708-10GE).

In case the remote-chassis supervisor (mod 5) fail would be possible to keep the remote-chassis line cards operational since there is one VSL connection still there (mod 4)? 

It seems obvious that it works but I want to confirm because it sounds like magic to have a chassis working "without" a supervisor.

Hi Tiago,

If supervisor fails, the chassis will fail as well.  So, in your case when module 5 (the sup) goes down the chassis will go down as well.
