6509 core and Procurve Edge Switches

I am looking at setting up a LAN using existing equipment and it would be a 6509 (sup2) as the core and various HP Procurve switches (2560's and 4180's) as the edge switches.

Are there any issues doing vlan trunking between the 6509 and the HP's or any other pit falls I should know about, I've never really done much with the HP switches.

We have had problems with link negotiation between Cisco and ProCurve gear. Be sure to check settings against actual link status. It is not unusual to have 100mbps stuff come up at 10Hdx.
