6509 E series end of sale end of support

Hi,

I am preparing  end of sale , end of support document of the devices in the network I have got information of cisco 3750G, 3550, and 3800 series voice router but I am unable to find any date for cisco 6509 E (s72033_rp )series switch with FWSM and WISM.

anyone knows that cisco has released any date of this device ??

Hello,

I do not think there are any supporting documents related to the EoS of the 6509E - they (Cisco) have developed it and its Supervisor Modules to this date, also believed to be enhancing the feature sets in IOS for the new SUPs.

This answer to this question is closely-guarded by Cisco.  Some people who have signed non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Cisco have been told that the announcement for the EoS/EoL for the 6500E should hit sometime this year or early next year.
