hi,my two 6509,when in CatOS 7.6, the 'sh pro cpu' are all about 6%, but when upgrade to CatOS 8.5, the 'sh proc cpu' are all 20%, are they all right?
I discover that there is an item 'idle_tasks' in CatOS 8.5 sh proc cpu, but not exist in CatOS 7.6, and the 'idle_tasks' is about 7%, so what is the meaning of 'idle_tasks'?
Thanks

The IDLE_Tasks process comprises the following jobs which now - since being moved from the "Kernel and Idle" process -
contribute to the CPU utilization total:
1)Inband packet receive handling
2)Check any module reset flag is set and if so create a process to do s/w
action on that.
3)Check any abrupt TCP disconnections
4)Check for RAW IP packets
5)Process EOBC queue
6)Process SLP communication
7)Create DHCP server if reqd
8)Start DHCP client if reqd.
9)create cleanup console process if it is disconnected.
10)poll traffic meter
11)check sync boot image with sby
12)clear DNS process if reqd.
