6509 Sup Modules

Are 6509 Sup Modules, "Hot-Swappable"? I have a 6509 that has two sup modules in it and I need to take one out...Can I do this safely without turning off the switch?

Hi Dave,

Yes the sup modules, the line cards , the power supplies are all hot swappable in cat6500 series switch.

So you can go ahead with removal of the sup engine without turning off the switch.
