6509 VSS active/active

Hello,

I configured two 6509s per the configuration guide and they work as expected until I reload the switch. Upon reload both switches come up as active/active instead of active/standby. At the moment I only have the sup blades installed. Also the port-channel configuration on switch-2 disappears.

Is this normal behavior or am I missing some config?

The ios is 12.2(33)SXH6.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Issue resolved!!!!

When initially configuring switch 1 did not take the command "switch accept mode virtual". I converted both switches to stand alone, re-enterd the VSS configs and entered the above command after the standby switch initalized.

All is well now!
