6807 Management interface

Greetings,

How can I access the management interface of 6807 Core switch as I can not see it in the configuration ?

Hi,

The mgmt interface for 6807 (sup2T) has its own firmware and that is separate from the main IOS and that is why you don't see it in the running config. It is called CMP.

Hi,

BTW, CMP is not like a regular out-of-band management port that exist in 4500, 3850, 3650 and other platforms.  When you session to CPM, it takes you to the CPM module and than from there you have to session to the IOS to see the config.  Its a pain but thankfully Cisco has replaced it with a regular OOB  port in Sup-6T, which is much more useful.
