I am trying to get a 802.1q trunk configured on a Gigabit interface on a 7206VXR. There is no enaps 8021q option in the interface config. Any ideas? The only 802.1q option at all is for tunneling. Thanks in advance for your help!

You would need an IP Plus feature set of IOS image if you want to configure the subinterface with encapsulation dot1q.
Please use the link below for finding the right IOS for the router. Check using the feature navigator tool:

You have to check the memory and flash memory requirement. You currently have 256MB Dram and 64MB flash card and 16MB internal flash.
