7k Upgrade Path from 4.2 to 5.1.3:

I'm trying to confirm if I definately need to upgrade from 4.2 to 4.6/5.0 before I go to 5.1.3 for system and kickstart?

And then for EPLD, I see a few hops in the path, can I upgrade straight from 4.2 to 5.1?

You can upgrade straight from 4.2 to 5.1.3

EPLDs will be upgraded during the installation

I thought eplds weren't upgraded without triggering the command? Or will it reject the upgrade?

On the off chance you happen to know, how long 2 sups and 6 cards will take with such a big jump and the epld upgrade? I'm thinking 30 mins a card ...

you are correct, I don't mean that they will be upgraded automatically, you have to upgrate them

30 minutes per switch should be enough time
