Hi,
I currently have a client who wants to start using a network access control device for their network security, this client requested me to use the 802.1x protocol for this which I used to configure all the Cisco catalyst1000 switch ports.
Now I have a problem, the clients have told me that they would like to connect the VOIP phones directly to the 802.1x configured ports and then connect the PCs to the VOIP phone, considering that this is the first time I'm making this connection I used the multi auth command which is supposed to allow the switch to recognize the credentials inputted on the PC but in my case the PC's fail to authenticate whenever the credentials are inputted.
Is there something I'm doing wrong that is making the 802.1x authentication fail on the PC? The switch port I used for the connection has both Mab and multi-auth configuration on it

- Review this documentation and compare your port settings accordingly : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Security/TrustSec_1-99/IP_Tele/IP_Telephony_DIG.html
If the PC fails to authenticate then start by looking at the radius logs for the particular authentication and examine it ,
