Hello,
I picked up a used 806 from a local ISP that was pulled from a working environment.
I was hopeful (but not optimistic) that I would be able to plug and play to get an internet connection (as the quick-setup suggests I should be able to).
I've tried to eliminate all variables so I have 1PC connected directly to the router. There is no internet WAN connection.
In this simple configuration, I am not able to ping the router (which is at 10.10.10.1). The router is also not able to ping the PC using terminal services.
Given this connection problem, the pc obviously is not able to pull an IP from the router.
I'm not sure exactly what the ISP originally used the router for, however, at this point I'd rather not reconfigure. I'd simply like to return the unit to factory defaults.
Does anyone have any advice on how I might do this?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello Jon,
do you have a console cable ? If so, connect it to the console port of the 806. Reboot the router and hit Ctrl+Break (this is the same procedure as during a password recovery). This should get you into ROMMON:
rommon 1>
At the ´rommon´ prompt, type:
rommon 1>confreg 0x2142
Then reboot the router by typing:
rommon 1>reset
Your router now reboots and puts you through the normal factory default setup routine.

Are you using a cross-over cable between the PC and the router?
Since both are meant to connect to a hub or switch, in order for them to talk you have to use a crossover cable (a cable where the transmit pair on one end go to the receive pair on the other end).
If you have a hub or switch available, use it instead.
Good Luck
