Hello
I have a Cisco 876 router. I have created an extra VLAN, number 2. I have assigned an IP adress and 2 ethernet ports.
For the IP adress of VLAN1 is automaticly an IP route created (C = connected). For VLAN2 this is not?! I also can't create an static route to the IP adress of VLAN2.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Connect at least one device in Vlan2 access ports and check, it should come up.
Cisco 876 supports upto 2 vlans with base image and upto 4 vlans with advance IP services image. If you have any other vlans, please remove/shutdown them.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reaction, but unfortunatly is does not work.
This a part of my config
interface Vlan1
description CustomerLAN
ip address 192.168.10.253 255.255.255.0
ip nat inside
ip virtual-reassembly
ip tcp adjust-mss 1452
!
interface Vlan2
description AtlanticLAN
ip address 192.0.2.254 255.255.255.0
ip nat inside
ip virtual-reassembly
ip tcp adjust-mss 1452
This is my IP route table
Gateway of last resort is not set
C 192.168.10.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan1
10.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks
S 10.20.1.0/24 [1/0] via 10.200.0.1
C 10.200.0.0/30 is directly connected, Dialer0
Can you help me further??

Are any of the switchports assigned to vlan 2 up? If you show ip int brief, is VLAN 2 down/down?

Hi, yes this is the solution!
I only prepared the router. As soon as 1 FastEthernet link was on, the route was added.
It is removed as soon as the link is down.
Thank you for your help
