9300 - spanning-tree portfast bpduguard/default

Level 1

Could someone give me a quick explanation on the difference between these 2 global configs that are allowed on 9300s? Both options are not available on a 2960xr switch I was looking at.

spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default

spanning-tree portfast bpduguard

9300(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpduguard ?
default Enable bpdu guard by default on all portfast ports
  <cr> <cr>

9300(config)#spanning-tree portfast ?
bpdufilter Enable portfast bpdu filter on this 9300
bpduguard Enable portfast bpdu guard on this 9300
default Enable portfast edge by default on all access ports

9300(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpduguard ?
default Enable bpdu guard by default on all portfast ports
  <cr> <cr>

9300(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpduguard
9300#
2960(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpdufilter ?
default Enable bpdu filter by default on all portfast ports

2960(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpdufilter

Thanks!

Hi

The first command "spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default" will enable  bpduguard in all port by default if  "port fast" is enable. This can save you time.

The command "spanning-tree portfast bpduguard" will also enable bpduguard but on this case you need to enable it in interface level to take effect.

You need to enter interface by interface or use interface range.

@Flavio Miranda
I don't think this is different,
BPDU if enable under interface it work no need to enable it in global,
what make me thinking keyword ""default""
