9407 POWER ISSUE - Insufficient POWER error

Greetings,

I have 9407  core switch with 4 modules and 2 sup. We removed 1 old SUP and installed 2 new SUP, after we power up it gives below message. I have tried starting the core with only 1 module as well, but still it gives the same error.

Kindly advice.

 - Could be a bogus message similar too https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvq55973  , use latest advisory software version on the 9407 (if applicable) , check if that can help ,

The chassis needs, a minimum, of two power supplies.

Dear Leo

I have two power supplies and the power status on it is green.

Kindly advice.

Hi,

Can you provide the output of show power?

Dear Reza,

Above is the output of show power only: below is the output-

Hi Syed,

This maybe a software bug, as we can't see the numbers in the output. If all working correctly, you should see something like below output. So, you may want to open a ticket with Cisco TAC on this and have them take a look.

Supply Model No Type Capacity Status 1 2 3 4
------ -------------------- ---- -------- ------------ -----------------------
PS1 C9400-PWR-3200AC AC 3200 W active good good good good

I Will check this PS error.

Thanks

MHM

Hi

 They are in err-disable:

PS1 UNKNOWN-PFU AC n.a. err-disable n.a. n.a. n.a. n.a.
PS2 UNKNOWN-PFU AC n.a. err-disable n.a. n.a. n.a. n.a.

Try to remove them and plug again during maintenance window.
