access and trunk port communication.

Hi,

I have connected two switches with onside trunk and other side access port.Both switches A (vlan 20)and B having (vlans 20 and 30 etc.)

Now host in switch A wants to communicate with host in Switch B which is having vlan 20.Is it possible to communicate.

Hi

that's not really a recommended design either way if it works or not

if the trunk side switch has the native vlan as 20 and far side access is vlan 20 it should work but only for that vlan

I recommend making far side trunk as well form it fully and then lock down what vlans are allowed on each side to create recommended design
