Below our T1 connection passes through two different cental offices: CO1, CO2
lan-R1------dsu/csu1----smartjack1---Repeater1--t1----- ( DCX at CO1)------t1--------(DCX at CO2)-----t1--smartjack2----CSU/DSU---R2--lan
Let say, connectivity between dsu/csu1 and smartjack1 is lost. Smartjack1 senses the loss of signal, and generates AIS.
1)What will happen next? Will following occur:
1) smartjack1 sends AIS to repeater1
2) Repeater1 sends AIS to DCX at CO1
3) DCX at CO1 sends it to DCX at CO2
4DCX at CO2 sends it smartjack2
5) Smartjack2 sends it to R2

2) Let say smartjack1 experiences the loss of signal from dsu/csu1. Smartjack1 generates a AIS alarm. Does Smartjack1 also insert its identifying information in the AIS signal so by just looking at the AIS we can find out which equipment along the path generated this AIS alarm ?
