An example of implementing REP?

Reading through the Cisco documentation, there are some guides to implementing REP (eg Layer 2 Configuration Guide, Cisco IOS Release 15.2(7)Ex (Catalyst 1000 Switches) - Configuring Resilient Ethernet Protocol [Support] - Cisco ) but its not really comprehensive. Do you know of a guide in the Cisco archive which details configuration of an example with at least 4 nodes?

I have successfully implemented a REP ring across four 9300 switches. A question: how long should recovery take when a ring reconvergence is forced? I have found that if i break the path, forcing the alt segment to activate and topology to change, that traffic takes up to 10 seconds to resume flowing.  I expected traffic to resume in under 1 second. Why might it take so long?

Hello,

10 seconds sounds long. What if you change the 'rep lsl-age-timer' value on the interfaces ? Default is 5 seconds, but you can set it to as low as 120ms (provided you are not using EtherChannels, in which case the minimum value is 1000ms)...

I have tried a number of different lsl-age-timer values on all REP ports. Unfortunately it seems to make no difference. When the ring is broken and the alt segment is forced to come up, traffic takes 5 to 10 seconds to resume.
