A book states that answer b) below is correct. Is the book right on this ?
"VLAN maps can be applied to a VLAN interface"
a)True
b)False
"
I thought that a) was correct based on the following:
from Cisco.com:
"VLAN access maps can be applied to VLANs or to WAN interfaces for VACL capture. VACLs attached to WAN interfaces support only standard and extended Cisco IOS IP ACLs..."

Hi ,
VLAN maps can be applied to Vlan's.It is true.
VLAN Maps --> VLAN ACLs or VLAN maps can access-control all traffic. You can apply VLAN maps to all packets that are routed into or out of a VLAN or are bridged within a VLAN in the stack.VLAN maps are used for security packet filtering. VLAN maps are not defined by direction (input or output).
Below link gives config details of vlanmaps.
