Hi all,
We're trying to get a switch to boot from a modified startup-config but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to take. Can someone please give some guidance on what this process should look like. Thanks!

Maybe you can use this command:
copy flash:test.config startup-config
Be very careful when using this type of command if the switch is in production.

Hi,
You can have it boot with a different config file. See the example in this link:

Okay so according to the document I should be able to direct the system to boot from a specific file/config, but when I'm trying the command, it isn't recognized.

Apologies, ignore me, just seen the output (it's late where I am).

The switch is running Gibraltar 16.12.02, I found the system management configuration guide for that version and it is exactly the same as the one that you had linked. I've linked that guide for version 16.12.X version below.
