Branch router, deciding between ISR 892 or 2921

Dear Friends,

I am working on the network design for a LAN project. I have more or less completed the LAN access design, however not been able to make up my mind of the WAN router for the site.

We would be pushing about 50 Mbps of bandwidth to about 100 concurrent users , w/o any services, we would be having a firewall appliance for the that purpose. My service provider would be handing off on an optical GiGE, for which I would be needing a SFP.

I was wondering if ISR 892FSP would be suitable for my bandwidth and concurrency requirements. I also have an option of considering ISR 2921, however with about 40 sites to be deployed, I need to be careful of the costs.

I looked at the documentation available for 892FSP, and the bandwidth doesn't look to be an isasue, however I am not too sure about the concurrent users.

Could you advise if 892FSP would be a right fit ?

Thanks

Prayank

Hi,

See table-3 in this link.  The number of recommended users for 800 series is 50.

I would consider using the 2921instead.
