Breakout support on Nexus 56128.

Hi,

We have a requirement of 128 10G ports and the Nexus 56128 seems to be the best fit.

The installation guide states that the ports can be configured for breakout in pairs for slots 1-8.

Wanted to know/confirm

- Is the base chassis considered as slot 1 or 0?

- if the 40G ports on the base chassis and the expansion modules can be configured for breakout to achieve a total of 128 (48 fixed + 48 expansion modules + 32 breakout ports) 10G ports.

Hi,

Yes, the first slot should start with 1.  Also, correct, you can use the breakout cable to expand up to 128 10Gig port total.
