Breakout with C6800-8P40G-XL

Hello there,

I was looking at a module we have on a C6800.

Currently we are running out of 10G ports and we were wondering if this module allows the breakout for the fortygiga interfaces.

40 DCEF2T 8 port 40GE / 32 port 10GE C6800-8P40G-XL

Do you have any idea?

I have not tested as per the document it should work : (but i will wait some one used to confirm)

unfortunately this page describe the usage of a breakout cable. What I would like to know is how to configure it on involved module.

Yes, the module "C6800-8P40G-XL" supports breaking out 40 Gigabit Ethernet ports into 32 individual 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports when needed due to a shortage of 10G ports.
