Hi,

We currently have an issue with the performance of our Core infrastructure and have recently purchased some new Core switches and also as a seperate project we have purchased some new firewalls.

We currently have the new equipment setup in our Lab and I would like to test a few things.

One of things I want to test is traffic storms against the switches and firewalls.  I've had a look but I'm struggling to find some thing that will allow me to inject 6000pps of broadcast traffic such as ARP requests.

Does anybody know of a tools we could use for this?

I've had some great luck simulating unique traffic patterns/behavior with the Spirent SmartBits.  I've never tired to simulate a large amount of broadcast but it may be worth a call to their sales team.
