C1300 vs C9200 Switch Features

We have sites that are using the C9200 switches.  For smaller sites, I would like to use the C1300 switches instead.  But after reading the C1300 data sheet, I find that the following features are missing compared to the C9200:

Software-Defined Access (Cisco DNA)
Programmability
APIs over NETCONF/RESTCONF
Routing Protocols (eg, OSPF)
MACsec

These are features that we may want to use, so I'm afraid to install the C1300.  Can someone please confirm that the C1300 does not contain the above features?

  - Consider that confirmed the C1300 series target the small business market ; for the features you need stay with the 9200 series or an equivalent,

The "Catalyst" 1200 is actually a CBS450.

Both 1200 & 1300 have been "promoted" to Catalyst because the Catalyst 1000 is about to enter the EoL/EoS cycle and this leaves a hole which the 1200 & 1300 fills.

Unlike the Catalyst 1000, the 1200 and 1300 runs on a hybrid OS akin to a slim down Linux and IOS.  1200/1300 does not run on pure classic IOS nor IOS-XE.  And because of this, the functions are severely "degraded".  It is NOT meant to be "configure once and shoved into a dark place for the next 10 years" kinda switch.

Hello,

Yes, 1300 does not support some fut. I've also changed my network devices and I chose 9300series.
I rec. instead of 1300, you can choose the 9300 series

Thanks!
