Can someone please help to confirm if we can use redistribution on 3560 switch having IOS image c3560-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin?
First, a 3560 (FastEthernet ports) only have 16 Mb flash. There's not enough capacity to hold even half the routing tables.
Next, the IOS is "ipbase" and this feature set doesn't really have support.
There have been several questions in the past about putting Cat 3K to do BGP redistribution and I've always responded with "it ain't going to work" but they did it anyway. So far I don't know what has happened to a setup like this.
Get an ISR G1/G2, like a 2800 or 2900, to do distribution would be sufficient if the DRAM is upgraded to it's maximum allowed.
