Hi Gurus,
I seem to have a bit of an issue with a WS-C3750G-24PS-S after a local shutdown for power maintenance the switch no longer powers up even a single IP phone or wireless APs attached to it.
diagnostics show no errors (with an 'all' test)
I've even tried reducing everything down to a single IP phone.
Power cycle and shut/no shut have no effect.
Logs result in this:

(same thing happens on all ports so now just leaving it in port 24)
On restart of the switch the phone begins to power up, but as the boot completes it gets shut off (for me this means it's confirming that 48v is available from the PSU)..
I've tried it in static and auto mode with no difference. The test IP phone is a Cisco 7961 (15.4w) and works fine plugged into other C3750 and C3650... APs are MR24's also 15.4w when working, also not working in the target switch but working fine in others.
Cable checks result in 4 'Open's for the phone.

Interestingly after a couple of days testing this, just ran another cable test and got different results...

This is the same phone that was just plugged into the switch next to it on the same cable and it works in the 3650G... (didn't touch anything except move the cable from port24 of the 3650 to port24 of the 3750)
Reload and test again (not touched it physically)

Thoughts/pointers welcome... the switch works fine except for this PoE issue.

What version would you suggest? I had problems getting firmware on these in the first place...

Hello Michelle,
The switch is running on very old firmware and from the above logs, I can see that the PD device is getting detected however switch is having issues with ports receiving bad power.
Mar 1 00:04:40.675: %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi2/0/24: Power is given, but Power Controller does not report Power Good
*Mar 1 00:04:55.112: %ILPOWER-7-DETECT: Interface Gi2/0/24: Power Device detected: Cisco PD
*Mar 1 00:05:15.119: %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi2/0/24: Power given, but Power Controller does not report Power Good
Action Plan:
>>Please perform the upgrade to the latest version in your MW
>>Meanwhile try to go into the switch config mode and choose any interface then execute the below command.
switch (config)# power inline never
switch(config)#power inline auto
Regards,
Priyanka
