C4507R+e SUP 7e software upgrade IOS confirmation

Hello guys,

Just need help.

I am going to upgrade a cisco catalyst 4507R+e SUP 7e device. It is currently at version  03.06.05.E and need to upgrade to the latest version recommended by cisco which is 3.11.4E. Just would like to ask if this is going to be a direct upgrade? or is there other hops I would need to take first before getting to the latest version?

And also, the current rommon version we got here is 15.0(1r)SG5, do we need to upgrade it first before upgrading the IOS?

Direct upgrade is supported as long as ROMMON upgrade is performed.

NOTE:  

1.  The last "official" firmware for the Sup7E/LE is 03.11.04E, however, the "unofficial" 03.11.09E is compatible with the Sup7E/LE.  
2.  03.11.09E has a critical bug where the SSH Key Algorithm has changed.  While this "feature" is not documented in any 03.11.09E Release Notes, this will break SSH access into the appliance.  And since the new Key Algo does not survive a reboot an "unofficial" workaround is to configure an EEM script.
