C6513 sup-720 issue

I have c6513 with two supervisor engine 

ws-sup720

the modules cannot make auto-boot and enter rommon mode but it has to be booted manually

and when one boots and become active the other one cannot be standby and return back to rommon mode

Sounds like the two supervisor cards are booting different IOS versions.

When I insert only one card the same issue happens that it cannot auto-boot and enters rommon mode

why ?

Check the config-registry of both line cards.  It could be that the line cards have a config-registry value of 0x2100 (instead of 0x2102).

So both units have config-registry value of 0x2102? 

Ok, let's try this:  Configure the config-registry value of both supervisor cards to 0x2101.  Make sure there is only one IOS file in the bootflash of both supervisor cards.  Reboot.
