C6800-8P10G Interface Module Installation on WS-C6509-E

Hi,

in our core WS-C6509-E (IOS Software- 15.2(1)SY5, supervisor- VS-SUP2T-10G, VSS running) we are planning to install C6800-8P10G Interface Module.

WS-C6509-E modules installed are:

  1   24  CEF720 24 port 1000mb SFP              WS-X6724-SFP      

  2    8  DCEF2T 8 port 10GE                     WS-X6908-10G       

  3    8  DCEF2T 8 port 10GE                     WS-X6908-10G      

  4    8  DCEF2T 8 port 10GE                     WS-X6908-10G       

  5    5  Supervisor Engine 2T 10GE w/ CTS (Acti VS-SUP2T-10G       

  7   48  CEF720 48 port 10/100/1000mb Ethernet  WS-X6748-GE-TX     

  8    8  DCEF2T 8 port 10GE                     WS-X6908-10G 

Do we have compatibility problems between modules installed and C6800-8P10G module or Supervisor Engine 2T 10GE ?

Sup-2T support forC6800-8P10G  module is ok, but coexistence between 

1   24  CEF720 24 port 1000mb SFP              WS-X6724-SFP

  4    8  DCEF2T 8 port 10GE                     WS-X6908-10G

and C6800-8P10G module could generate any problems ?

once the module is supported its supported , it wont interfere with other modules that are supported too , it communicates with the supervisor to come online

all the mods you run are in the supported list in the the document above , you shouldn't have an issue
