Can you post the complete output to the command "dir".

Hello Leo,

Attached dir output showing the carsh file also include the crash file content,

14:57:16 cdt Mon Jul 17 2017: General Protection Fault Exception: : vector D, PC = 0x5F5F331

Thanks for the file.  It's helpful.

I have found three Cisco Bug IDs:  CSCvc69872, CSCvc34329 & CSCva07166

Here are your options:

  1. Raise a TAC Case to accurately determine what caused the crash (and verify if either one of the three is the correct Bug ID or someone new); and/or
  2. Upgrade the IOS

Do note that Cisco has announced that the EoS for the 15.2(2)SY and the recommended upgrade path is 15.4(1)SY train.  However, I am currently testing 15.4(1)SY1 & 15.4(1)SY2 in several 6840 models and all of them have elevated CPU or higher-than-normal due to "slcp process".  I have an existing TAC case.

Thanks for your helpful feedback, we upgraded the code to 15.2.(2) SY3.
