Hello, is it possible to return a serial number or hostname via the RFID tag, on the new 9200L and 9300L series switch?

I have not touched RFID before, and any help is appreciated, including configuration examples :)

Best regards

/K.

 - According to the document below it has support for retrieving the serial number through RFID

Hi
havent done this but looks like its possible , have you got a reader yes

How end users access tag dataTag contents are accessed by using EPC Global Class 1, Generation 2, ISO 18000-6C-compliant fixed or mobile readers. Any RFID system that supports EPC Generation 2 is able to access data from Cisco Catalyst 9000 family RFID-enabled products for asset tracking and asset management.End users are also able to access a tag’s data by using Telnet, a web browser, serial communications to the reader, and third-party middleware applications

I dont see a 9k config guide but its ios-xe like 3850 so these commands may work

I do believe this feature is not yet enabled.

I think the

location rfid status

command refers to tracking rfid tags throughout your network, and is not in any way related to the rfid tags present on your device.
