We have a handful of remote locations connecting back to a main campus using circuits from Charter Communications (Spectrum). Remote locations are mainly based on 3850s, and there is a stack of 3850s at the main campus location.
The current network design includes several VLANs which are extended out from the main location out to each of the remote locations. It's been my experience in the past that limits on ISP equipment as far as learning MAC addresses from one location to send to the other location can cause issues when trying to extend VLANs through their networks.
Does anyone have experience with Charter Spectrum? I was about to try and call them, but I wasn't sure if I'd have much luck finding someone who knows what I'm asking about.

- In general I would not advise to connect remote locations with vlans through ISP's , with whatever background platform being used , I propose routed networks for those connections and keep vlans always local ,

Ultimately, I may have to do that. I just started at this job 6 months ago, and this is what I inherited. I really don't think I would have designed it this way, especially after experiences I had at my last job (16 years). I just need to try and convince the folks here that it's a good idea.
