C9500-24Y4C: Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series does this support RJ45 ports if not which type of SFP i need to use to make it RJ45 ports. What is the maximum length supported If I use 10G RJ45 sfp?

Hi

This switch is SFP ports.

RJ45 is always 100m maximum dont matter if SFP or standard RJ45 connector.

Can you tell me the model of the SFP which support 100m 10G speed?

Here we go!

Table 1, details the specifications for the SFP-10G-T-X module, including cable type, distance, and data rates supported.

Table 1.        SFP-10G-T-X cabling specifications

Cisco PIDs

Speeds

Cable Type

Distance

Max. Power Consumption (W)

SFP-10G-T-X

10Gbps

Cat6A/Cat7 or better

Up to 30 meters

2.5W

SFP-10G-T-X

100M/1Gbps

Cat5e/Cat6A/Cat7 or better

Up to 100 meters

1.0W

i got one model SFP-10G-T-X   which support only till 30metre with 10G speed

Yes, for 10Giga.

I would say it goes more than that, but, if we stick with the datasheet, 10G would be 30 Meters.

I reply you your other post check my reply.
thanks

How can I connect a c9500 switch to C9200 with 10G capable RJ45 cable & the distance between them is 70m?

Hi

Theorically is not possible, it would require fiber as Copper will reach 30 meters maximum.

For 70m copper, you'll need Cat6a (not Cat6) or Cat7, the latter though doesn't expect to use RJ45 connectors.
